Elizabeth Badger
Elizabeth Badger, Esq. is the Justice for Immigrant Families Program Manager and a senior staff attorney at PAIR, specializing in representation for immigrant children and families in Massachusetts and collaborating with community organizations that work with the same community.
Elizabeth received her J.D. from Boston University Law School and received her B.A., from Dartmouth College. Elizabeth has worked in immigration law for nearly twenty years, focusing on representing non-citizen children, asylum seekers, victims of crimes, and persons in prolonged
immigration detention. She returned to PAIR after four years as the Senior Attorney of the Boston office of Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), where she argued cases before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and led state law reform that improved access to Special Immigrant Juvenile Status protection for immigrant children in the state. Previously, Elizabeth taught for four years at the Boston University School of Law, worked at Lutheran Social Services, spearheaded several law reform projects at the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute (MLRI), and served as an immigration law clerk at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
During her earlier tenure at PAIR, she coordinated PAIR’s response to the arrest of several hundred noncitizens at a New Bedford factory as well as other local raids, for which she received the National Immigration Project’s Daniel Levy Award in 2008. She was also awarded PAIR's Pro Bono Mentor of the Year Award in 2013. She serves on the Board of the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild. Elizabeth speaks fluent Spanish. She re-joined PAIR in 2019.
