  • #AirportLawyers– PAIR, in collaboration with AILA and IRAP, has been coordinating volunteer attorneys at Logan Airport to observe CBP’s compliance with the nationwide injunction of the January 27, 2017 executive order.
  • Anita P. Sharma, PAIR’s Executive Director, was selected by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as an honoree of its “Top Women of Law” annual awards event, to be held on October 27, 2016 at the Marriot Copley Place Hotel in Boston, MA.  In October, Anita, along with 49 other Top Women honorees, will be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in the legal community. Each year Lawyers Weekly honors women attorneys who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field, which includes: pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business. See full media release.   • In April 2016, PAIR was honored with an award from the Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy, Brandeis University, for its high-quality pro bono programs and representation of immigration detainees.
  • On June 9, 2016, PAIR was honored as a recipient of the Cummings Foundation “100K for 100” grant to support it’s Access to Justice Program to increase community intake. PAIR is one of 100 local nonprofits to receive grants of $100,000 (divided over 3 years). PAIR was chosen from a total of 479 applicants, during a competitive review process. See full media release.
  • Color Magazine recognizes PAIR’s Cumming Foundation “100K for 100” grant award.
  • In March 2016, PAIR was awarded a grant by the City of Boston, Mayor’s Office of New Bostonian for their DACA/DAPA Outreach Initiative (through the Emma Lazarus Local Challenge), which will provide community outreach and education on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA).
  • PAIR’s Antonio Castro Aranda recognized for PAIR’s support of the Salvadoran immigrant community, in January 2016, at Boston’s City Hall, hosted by the Consul General of El Salvador.
